What happens if something happens to the house?

Our Home Equity Investments are secured and recorded with a Deed of Trust /mortgage that typically sits behind the primary mortgage and above the homeowner (like a HELOC).


If the house is sold or refinanced for any reason it automatically triggers a payoff of our investment. Every home maintains an active insurance policy to protect our investment in case of a catastrophic event.


In the event of a death of the homeowner it will provide the opportunity for the lienholder to renegotiate the contract and assign to a new owner and/or re-settlement of the debt.
